Hey there! I'm Kylie, the redheaded, music-obsessed mind behind That Music Chick Blog.

I'm a 30-year-old Delaware native, proud dog mama, big sister, eldest daughter, and lifelong lover of all things creative. I've always been a little unconventional, drawn to the darker, louder, stranger, and more beautifully chaotic sides of life. But if there's one thing that has remained constant through every chapter of my story - it's music.

And for that, I have my dad to thank.

Growing up as the daughter of a single father, music was woven into the fabric of my childhood. My dad didn't just introduce me to incredible artists and unforgettable songs. He taught me to appreciate the stories behind them, the emotions hidden between the notes, and how a single song can become forever tied to a memory. Some of my favorite memories are connected to the music we shared, and that influence helped shape the person I am today.

My taste in music? Wonderfully eclectic and unapologetically all over the place. I don't believe great music belongs inside a neatly labeled box. If it moves me, makes me think, gives me goosebumps, or makes me want to turn the volume up until the neighbors complain, it has a place in my world.

Writing, much like music, has always been one of my greatest passions. I've spent much of my life finding comfort in words, whether I'm creating fictional worlds, exploring the darker corners of human nature, or attempting to capture feelings that aren't always easy to explain.

There's something extraordinary about the way both writing and music can turn an ordinary experience into something unforgettable.

Originally born in 2016, this little corner of the internet has always been about more than simply reviewing albums or talking about favorite artists. It's about celebrating creativity, discovering new sounds, revisiting the music that shaped us, and giving artists and their stories the attention they deserve.

I'm not here to pretend I know everything about music. I'm here because I love it. Because I believe music connects people across generations, backgrounds, and experiences. Because behind every incredible song is a story worth telling, and I'm endlessly curious about them and those behind them.

When I'm not writing or getting lost in a playlist, you'll probably find me spending time with my dog, Roxy, embracing my role as a very proud big sister, watching a good horror movie, getting lost in a book, or finding yet another creative project to add to my already overflowing list - I mean, truly, the thing is never-ending.

At the end of the day, I'm just a girl with a head full of stories, a heart full of music, and a lifelong appreciation for the beautiful noise that makes life worth listening to.
